The trail is named after the sea of clouds that often appears in the afternoon, but when it clears up, you can see the Lanyang Plain and the magnificent snow-capped mountain range of the Shengliuliang Mountains. The old road was reconstructed from a part of the former Mt. Taepyeong "Miharu Timber Track", preserving the remnants of the railway that was used for logging and transporting timber at that time. Inside the light blue station, there are historical photos and artefacts on display, while outside the station, the tracks and historical traces of the timber transport have been preserved. Near the station are several famous snack shops, such as Ho's Scallion Pie, Samsung Grandma's Scallion Pie, and Chunmi Xiangbou Pork, which you can buy on your way back to the station.

Songmanyuan was born from a filial son, Song, the owner of the B&B. This is a big house that he bought for his parents to have a better living environment. However, because the house was too big, Song's parents refused to move in for fear of loneliness, and it was eventually converted into a B&B. This is the ideal place for his parents to live, so you can feel the warmth of home everywhere. The entire B&B is decorated in original wood, with a shared living room and a shared bathroom for guests to use, and some rooms even have private bathrooms.
The room I stayed in wasn't huge, but it was medium-sized, bright and clean, with a large, comfortable bed, elegant wooden floors, furniture and wallpaper in soft, warm colours, and no frills, but with all the basics, it made me feel right at home, and I could rest in peace. Outside, there is a spacious green garden and basketball court, which is perfect for families to walk and play in the daytime, and enjoy the quiet starry moonlit nights at night. The B&B is a 15-minute drive from Luodong Railway Station. It takes about 10 to 20 minutes to get to Shanhe Park and Luodong Night Market.

The camp is well-equipped, with separate wet and dry bathrooms that supply hot water 24 hours a day, as well as shower gel, shampoo and hairdryer. There are several crystal clear streams for residents to enjoy activities such as stream trekking and rafting, which I also tried out and found very exciting and safe, very memorable. The camp also has a restaurant that always offers new dishes, and that night we enjoyed a barbecue meal full of flavours.
Apart from being a camping site, Nashan Nakgol also has an activity that is very popular with tourists, but only in the morning, which is to use the stream rafting to enjoy the unique scenery of Nanao at ease. Stream rafting is a fun and safe activity for all ages, and the rafting trip is accompanied by an instructor to ensure that everyone has a safe and enjoyable time. The rafting trip takes about three hours and is suitable for people aged 6-60. The cost is a little higher, at NT$1,000 per person, but it includes the professional instructor's fees for life jackets, winter jackets, backpacking shoes, rafting rings, helmets, and other safety equipment, so it's actually quite reasonable.

Kavalan was originally the old name for Yilan, and it is interesting to note that the distillery built by Golden Car in December 2005 was named after it in appreciation of the gift of this precious land.
