【Taichung Tourism. Taiwan] Shangyin Seafood Taichung Edition! Sushi Luck Seafood Market is even more impressive than Taipei Shangyin Seafood Market!

Last month, I travelled to Taichung with ACE Travel, and during dinner, ACE arranged to go to the "Sushi Lok Seafood Market", which is a combination of sashimi, sushi, hot pot, barbecue and supermarket, and is known as the Taichung version of the Shangshui Seafood Market. Yesterday, I saw a Hong Kong travel website with a short introduction to Sushi Lok, but the pictures were all provided by the restaurant, so I thought, why don't I give a brief introduction myself, at least I took my own photos.

"Sushi Luck Seafood Market" has two floors, with a supermarket and restaurant on the ground floor, and is basically the same as the Shangyin Seafood Market in Taipei, but with seating and without the stand-up area of the Shangyin Seafood Market. "Sushi Lok Seafood Market" is also about the same size as Shangyin, but without the large pool area of Shangyin, and the ground floor is equipped with large round tables and outdoor dining area, suitable for families and a large group of friends to eat together, if the weather is good when the environment is really good.

▼ Supermarket and Restaurant Area on the Ground Floor of the Sushi Raku Seafood Market

"The Sushi Raku Seafood Market offers a variety of sashimi, barbecue and hot pot dishes, and is divided into two sections: a supermarket and a restaurant, where you can buy sushi, seafood and sashimi directly. In the supermarket, you can buy sushi, seafood and sashimi directly from the restaurant. Guests can choose their seafood and have it processed by the chef. The sushi bar is located next to the deli section, which sells barbecue, fried food, cooked rice, soups, etc., and most of them are grilled pork knives, which I personally don't like too much.
We went to the round table area on the ground floor for our meal, and the food was carefully arranged and pre-ordered by On Tat Travel, so the portion sizes in the photos are for reference only, but the freshness of the ingredients were excellent. Japanese sashimi is all about freshness, so let's see how many types of ingredients there are in the photo.

▼ Comprehensive Sashimi Platter

▼ Underground seafood stalls have prices for each ingredient marked on blackboards, so you can take your time to do the maths. And the prices include the cost of cooking, which means that the so-called oil and water costs of Hong Kong's seafood in Sai Kung are already included. Some of the seafood here is imported from Japan, some from Northeast Taiwan, no matter where they are, they are all fresh.

▼ Seafood Hot Pot - Prawns bigger than a finger, fresh oysters, clams, northern scallops, bread crabs ....... and more.
The food we ate was all included by Anda Travel, details of which I don't know much about, but I do know that a sea and land package for four people only costs TW$3280, or HK$770 or so, or less than HK$200 per person. And the cheapest Frosty Pork and Chicken Set for two is only TW$980, totalling HK$$230 per person.

▼ King Crab Fried Rice - The rice grains are golden brown and fried to the point of elasticity, and the chef has left the crab paste on the grains of rice, so that the fresh flavour of the crab meat blends into the rice, making the whole dish of fried rice full of freshness and aroma.

▼ Skewered Beef with Scallions

▼ Garlic-Steamed Whipfish - A white-bodied fish with a long maw, it's strange to look at but delicious to eat. Rarely seen in Hong Kong, it has a refreshingly fresh flavour, and today the shop is steaming it with a heavy dose of garlic, which is also said to be good as sashimi. Whipfish can be divided into red whip and black whip, red whip price is higher, in Taiwan a kilogram NTW$300 yuan.

"Sushi Raku Seafood Market offers a variety of dishes including sashimi, yakiniku (grilled meat), hot pot, etc. Seafood sashimi is also available at Sushi Raku Seafood Market. The freshness of the ingredients is excellent. There are many choices of ingredients, such as whipfish, which is very suitable for a large group of friends, and should easily satisfy everyone's needs. If you are travelling to Taichung, it is also a good choice, thanks to the cheap price, it is very suitable for a large group of friends to go there.I don't think I can help you if you want to know how much food is served. I suggest that you should join Anda Travel's Quiet Taichung Cultural Tour and let them make the arrangements on your behalf, as Taichung is inconvenient to travel by car anyway.
