Yilan's beautiful mountains and waters, as well as its abundant natural resources and gourmet food, are suitable for people of all ages to have fun and visit. Recently, I stayed at the Jiaoxi Hotel, a stylish hotel in the Jiaoxi Hot Springs area that is fun, accommodating and delicious.
Hotel Environment and Appearance
The reflective glass design of the hotel gives me a stylish impression at first, and upon checking in, I realised that every corner of the hotel is full of art, with many beautiful and special installations and works of art placed all around the hotel, and the relaxing and natural atmosphere makes you feel at ease and relaxed.
Designed and furnished by a number of Asian artists and the world-renowned international hotel design team, LTW, the hotel is based on the theme of "Earth as Home", which is a perfect fusion of nature, culture and art, and aesthetics of life.
Room Equipment
The hotel has a total of 190 rooms, six types of rooms, distributed in two buildings. The rooms range in size from 12 to 90 ping, each very spacious and cosy, and are designed in a simple and natural style, quiet and comfortable, with plenty of light. Wooden furniture and comfortable comforts make the rooms feel like home.
The beds are made of medium-firm Simmons mattresses, and you can choose your own pillow. If you're quick enough, you can try the limited supply of Tendays Sleeping Pillow, which is famous for protecting the cervical vertebrae.
The bathrooms are separated from the wet and dry areas, and there is also a small cloakroom. What I like most is that each room has its own hot spring bath, natural lighting design, large square windows, blue sky and white clouds is a picture of nature.
Some rooms even have balconies, so on a beautiful day, it's nice to sit back and relax, or play music on the JBL Bluetooth stereo in the room, sip coffee brewed in the coffee capsule machine, and look at the scenery.
Leisure Facilities
"The MU Club features a fully-equipped fitness room, a heated pool and an outdoor swimming pool. The pool is large and has a waterslide that both children and adults will love. At Jiaoxi MU Club, there is an open-air hot spring pool called "Kou no Yu" with flowing water and a beautiful view.
In addition, the hotel has a large number of children's play facilities, which are perfect for kids to "power down".
There is a 136-ping "Le Wei Yang" children's rest area with a large area based on the concept of nature. The green artificial turf connects the indoor and outdoor spaces, where children can play maze, different table games, slides, climbing and cave games, as well as DIY craft activities.
The brand new indoor mini racetrack should be the most popular with children as they can ride around on stylish electric cars or motorbikes!
There are also the latest PS4 and Switch games in the gaming room, and not only the kids but also the adults are having a great time.
"Dining Out
Apart from the rich family activities and holiday facilities, the meals here are also worth praising. The hotel regularly launches special dinners, the most recent of which was the "Goose Feast" of "One Goose, Six Eats x Taste of Lanyang", featuring the famously plump "Yilan White Roman Goose" and other local specialities.
After a hearty dinner, enjoy a drink at the stylish MU Bar with live band performances.
The breakfast buffet on the second day was also very good. The dining venue, MU TABLE, is large and bright. It has a wide range of Chinese, Western, Japanese and Thai hot and cold dishes. My favourite is the vegetarian section where you can boil your own vegetables. There are so many kinds of vegetables and they are all grown by small farmers in the neighbourhood, so they are very fresh. There is also a dessert counter and New Zealand ice-cream for the ladies.
Accessibility and Lifestyle Functions
The hotel is located in the Jiaoxi business district, so the neighbourhood is bustling with restaurants and convenience stores, so you can go out for a stroll in the evening. Famous attractions such as Jiaoxi Hot Spring Plaza and Tangweigou Hot Spring Park are just a few minutes' walk away.
Transportation is also very convenient, with Jiaoxi Station and Tingpu Station only a 5-minute walk away, and free shuttle buses are available at the hotel.
In fact, there are also good banquet halls here, with the hotel's food, service quality and banquet facilities, apart from holiday, it is also a good choice to have a banquet here.
