Located on the 27th floor of Tokyo Hotel Metropolitan marunouchi, 120 metres up in the sky, TENQOO TENQOO, meaning sky, is the only restaurant in the hotel that serves Japanese-French cuisine made from a selection of local Japanese ingredients combined with French cooking. I didn't get a chance to try the French cuisine, but I did enjoy the breakfast.
Tenqoo Restaurant is located on the 27th floor of the Marunouchi Metropolitan Hotel, which is to the left of the floor where you check in in the other introduction, and because of the hotel's beautiful view of Tokyo Station, the restaurant's view is also superb, and through the glass windows you can also look out at the view outside of JR Tokyo Station from a wider and wider angle than you would have in your room.
Although I didn't have much time to stay in the hotel, it was nice to stay in the restaurant and have a nice breakfast. It was like the first snowfall in November in more than 50 years when I visited, enjoying the romantic snowfall while eating breakfast delicacies.
The breakfast buffet is divided into two areas, Western and Japanese, and although there aren't too many choices, the ingredients are fresh and the presentation is exquisite. I prefer the Japanese area, which is where you come in for a couple of eggs with soy sauce, a little pickle, and a bowl of congee, which is also very good, and is a lot more like a fast-food restaurant than a fast-food restaurant on the street.
The breakfast buffet is most popular between 7:30~8:30am, probably because they are in a hurry to commute to work, but if you are a traveller like me, you can avoid the crowds and enjoy yourself. If you are a traveller like me, you can avoid the crowds and enjoy your meal. I heard that during public holidays, there are many non-residents who come here for breakfast because of the superb view. I believe it would be nice to have dinner here or come back early for a drink after dinner.
