Landmark Village hotel is located in the centre of Singapore, the hotel itself is close to Bugis MRT station, easy to get around. The hotel is also located at the junction of Arab Street and Arab Street, so you can feel the Arabian colours of the street as soon as you walk from your room to the street. Nearby are the Singapore Art Museum, the National Museum and the Esplanade, which are some of the most culturally rich sightseeing spots in Singapore. It would take a whole day just to go to all the fun places in the neighbourhood, which is very convenient for short-haul travellers like us.
If you're looking for a place to eat, drink and be merry, there's the Boat Quay, an old warehouse converted into a restaurant and bar area, which is similar to the famous Clarke Quay, with seafood restaurants, Indian, Thai and other exotic cuisines all around.
▼ Our friend showed us around two suites, starting with the new Premier Room, which offers a king-size bed and work desk. The room design and furnishings are sleek and minimalist, with dark wood-grain floors and furniture in light brown and white, which is uniquely urban for a hotel in the heart of Singapore.

▼Because I was on a tour, I didn't try the beds to see if they were the right firmness, but the beds in the Changi Village Hotel, which is part of the same group, were comfortable, and the air-conditioning in the rooms was adequate. There is a telephone at the bedside, which can be used for both local and overseas calls. As with other hotels, there is a morning call service, just tell the receptionist what time it is.

There is a colour LED TV and a work desk opposite the king-size bed, with international music programmes such as TVB8, and similar programmes on the Discovery Channel, which are in fact a must-have.

▼The bathroom is as stylish as the beds, with a full range of toiletries such as shower gel, shampoo, toothbrush and toothpaste. The bath facilities are designed with a showerhead, which is simple and convenient.

▼ There is also a wardrobe and a safe at the entrance of the bathroom, where you can safely store your passport and cash. Underneath the safe, the hotel has kindly provided two free bottles of water and nuts, as well as snacks and drinks such as instant coffee and Chinese tea.

▼ Look down below, there is also a small refrigerator with several cans of different flavours of beverages and Singapore's authentic Tiger beer, which is supposed to be charged for and counted as one can, so check it out for yourself.
