[Hong Kong Cuisine] Hong Kong Disneyland: A romantic, snow-filled theme park for Christmas and New Year

Come and experience the festive atmosphere created by the Christmas snowfall at Hong Kong Disneyland. The romantic snowfall takes place every year from early December until 1 January, occurring at 15 and 45 past the hour every day and lasting for around 15 minutes. It is not particularly noticeable during the day, but is all the more romantic at night. Please do keep an eye out for it; for more precise times, please enquire with staff on site.


If you’d like to make the most of the evening’s snowfall, I suggest you spend the morning exploring at your leisure—do whatever takes your fancy—and then follow the order I’ve set out below come dusk, so you don’t miss any of the brilliant performances:

5.30 pm – ‘Mickey’s Toy Dance’ on the High Street of a Small American Town
6.45 pm – *Snow Glittering Under the Streetlights*: As I didn’t make it there in time that day, I wasn’t able to take any photos 0.0″
7.15 pm – If you go to a restaurant again, you can expect to spend about an hour and a half there, and there are brand-new Christmas treats available at Disneyland over the festive season.
9.00 pm  – The highlight: ‘A Starry Dream Fireworks Display’

The usual fireworks display finishes before half past nine, and as the latest departure time is 10 o’clock, you’ll have about 30 minutes left after the show to have a browse around the shops on ‘Main Street, U.S.A. – Christmas Town’, to see if there’s anything you fancy – it’s the perfect time to make a purchase, as you’ll regret it if you don’t! There are plenty of special limited-edition items released just for Christmas!

↓ In the evening, you can start by visiting a few all-you-can-eat restaurants until 8.30 pm, whilst waiting for the main event at 9.00 pm: the ‘Star Dream Fireworks Show’

↓ Although the ‘Star Dream Fireworks Show’ isn’t a special edition, it was still a brilliant performance and the atmosphere was very lively.

↓ I took another photo of the clock tower at the entrance as I was leaving; I’d fitted my camera with a Da Zi Xing lens, and the lighting looked particularly beautiful.
