Taipei Tourism. Taiwan] High Speed Rail Ticket, 3 Days, Flexible 3 Days Ticket, Must Have for Travelling to Taiwan

One of the journeys on my 10-day Taiwan trip was from Taipei to Taichung. Of course, I could have taken a domestic flight or a bus, but the most convenient option is the Taiwan High Speed Rail (THSR), which is a high-speed railway. The Taiwan High Speed Rail Corporation (THSRC) is Taiwan's high-speed railway system, with a total length of about 349 kilometres, running through the most densely populated western part of the country.

The Taiwan High Speed Rail (HSR) runs from Nangang in Taipei to Zuoying in Kaohsiung, with a total of 12 stations along the route. Starting point: Nangang Station > Taipei > Banqiao > Taoyuan > Hsinchu > Miaoli > Taichung > Changhua > Yunlin > Chiayi > Tainan > Ending point: Zuoying. Total length 349 km, Boarding time: approx. 105 min, Fare: NT1530.

Nangang Station, Taipei Station, and Banqiao Station are underground stations co-located with the Taiwan Railway and MRT, Taoyuan Station is an underground station, Hsinchu Station is an elevated station co-located with the six stations of the Taiwan Railway, Miaoli Station is an elevated station co-located with the abundant stations of the Taiwan Railway, Taichung Station is an elevated station co-located with the new Wuzhi Station of the Taiwan Railway, Changhua, Yunlin, and Chiayi Stations are independent elevated stations, Tainan Station is an elevated station co-located with the Shalun Station of the Taiwan Railway, and Zuoying Station is a flat station co-located with the Tainan Station is an elevated station co-located with Taiwan Railway Shalun Station, and Zuoying Station is a flat station co-located with Taiwan Railway New Zuoying Station. Although Banqiao Station and Taoyuan Station are adjacent underground stations, most of the section between Banqiao Station and Taoyuan Station is elevated. (Wiki)

One of the journeys I took during my 10-day trip to Taiwan was from Taipei Station > Taichung Station, and the journey took only about an hour, so it was basically just a matter of chatting, looking at the scenery, and having a cup of coffee before I got there.
