We arrived in Yilan two weeks earlier, with a local friend driving the car, and it took us more than an hour to get to Yilan from Taoyuan Airport. If you take a bus or high speed rail from Taipei Transfer Station or Xinyi Transfer Station, you can get to Luodong and Jiaoxi in about 70 minutes. My itinerary recommendation in this post is to share the maps of Yilan attractions, such as Jiaoxi, Yilan City, Luodong, Suao, etc. The itinerary is easy, so it's a good way to get around. Taipei Taoyuan Airport.
It's actually quite convenient to get to Yilan. It only takes about 45 minutes to drive from Taipei City to the centre of Yilan, and about an hour to get to Yilan from Taipei Taoyuan Airport. From Taipei Taoyuan Airport, it only takes about an hour to drive to Yilan, but of course, you will have to be patient with traffic jams.
At Taipei Taoyuan Airport. There is nothing to bring to Yilan, but it is better to buy an internet card first. To buy an internet card, you have to walk to the right after you leave Taoyuan Airport, and you will see a counter to buy an internet card, and the prices of several telecommunication companies are almost the same, but after I went to Yilan, I think Chunghwa Telecom seems to have better reception. Chunghwa Telecom is like PCCW in Hong Kong, it has a wider coverage in Taiwan. If you are going to a rural area like Yilan, you should choose Chunghwa Telecom.

Starbucks Experience Farm.
After running from Taipei to Yilan at noon, we soon arrived at Sanshing Township, and since it was just lunch time, we decided to visit the Star Scallion Experience Farm first. The owner of the farm, Mr. Zhang, lets visitors experience the fun of making DIY scallion pancakes by kneading the dough himself, adding in the freshly picked scallions that are grown on the farm every morning, and then frying them to make crispy scallion pancakes or scallion pies with a golden colour and crispy texture, and every bite of the pancake has the aroma of the scallion and the pancake. The DIY scallion pancake activity allows visitors to learn more about the fun of nature in Samsung Township of Yilan, the township of green onions.

Clearwater Geothermal.
Shimizu Geothermal. It is located in the valley of the Shimizu River between the plain and the foothills on the south side of Shimizu Village in Datong Township. Shimizu Geothermal Heat Pump. In the distance, you can see the green hills and the geothermal springs swirling with white smoke from the ground. The geothermal water is abundant, with a temperature of 95 degrees Celsius, and is alkaline with a slightly yellowish, sulphurous odour.
Shimizu Geothermal has a few attractions that I find interesting, such as the free geothermal pool and the free foot bath. The geothermal pool is free of charge, if you don't bring your own food, there are small shops nearby selling eggs and different vegetables such as corn, etc. There are cooking utensils available for borrowing, and there is also a timetable to indicate the time for each ingredient to be cooked in the hot spring water. The service is thoughtful and considerate. There is also a free foot soak in the hot springs, which is simple, just to let you take off your shoes and soak your feet to relieve your fatigue.

Waterfront Forest Club. B&B & Leisure Farm
The Waterfront Forest Leisure Farm belongs to the Luodong River Leisure Agriculture Zone, near the Luodong Sports Park, with an area of more than 50,000 square metres. The Waterfront Forest Leisure Farm is located in the Ke-Lin Yung-Spring area of Yilan, Taiwan, and has a unique landscape and abundant natural water sources, as well as its own freshwater fish breeding area and dragon fruit plantation. Within a few days of staying here, you can experience agriculture and fishery, and participate in tourist activities such as product production and processing!
One of the unique features of Waterfront Forest is that it has its own freshwater fish farm, so at lunch and dinner time, you can also enjoy their home-grown fish at the restaurant on the waterfront. During the season, visitors can also enjoy picking their own dragon fruits. Staying at the Waterfront Forest for a couple of days will give you a deeper experience of Yilan's rural tourism.
