The Hong Kong-based dining group ‘Tang Palace’ has restaurants across mainland China, including in Shanghai and Beijing. Its new Central-based eatery, ‘Tang Palace Social Place’, which caters to a younger crowd, specialises in trendy, modern Chinese cuisine. I almost mistook the English name ‘Social Place’ for having something to do with social media! It turns out the owner’s intention is for this restaurant to be a great place for friends to get together, and with prices this reasonable—averaging three or two hundred yuan per person—it’s definitely worth recommending to everyone.
