One thing that still impresses me about the Shanghai HSBC Golf Championships that I visited last fortnight was the number of cute smiles at the event, because in addition to the Tiger woods and other professionals' matches mentioned earlier, the pro-am matches, and the experience area for tourists to have fun, I still found a lot of youngsters playing, and they were not playing, nor were they playing in a tournament. When it comes to the HSBC China Junior Golf Programme, it's a long term and sustainable initiative to nurture some of China's most talented young players and children through the Champions League, and to provide schools with a variety of golf equipment to help them make golf one of the basic sports in their schools.
