This time I chose to stay at the Sheraton Taipei Hotel, which is full of elegant Chinese design and decoration. The hotel was formerly known as the Lai Lai Shangri-La Hotel, and although it has been in business for almost 40 years now, it has been well maintained and refurbished, so it does not feel old, but rather very elegant and luxurious. I took the time to wander around the hotel and found that there were many antique artefacts and some special ancient Chinese totem decorations all around.<\/p>\n

The design of the lobby is spacious and bright, with enough seating space for guests to rest. The check-in procedure is also very fast, the service staff is attentive and friendly, I am very satisfied with the service standard of the Grand Hotel.<\/p>\n

Hotel Facilities<\/span><\/h3>\n

In terms of facilities, special mention has to be made of the Sheraton Club on the 17th and 18th floors. In addition to a well-equipped fitness centre, sauna, spa, massage and other fitness and beauty facilities, there is also a Biketball court that meets the requirements for international competitions, which is very impressive! Another highlight is Taiwan's first rooftop open-air swimming pool overlooking the beautiful scenery of Taipei City, my favourite place to come and see the Taipei 101 building at night.<\/p>\n

But as a gourmand, what attracts me most is that there are nine Chinese, Western and Japanese restaurants, one of which is the Sheraton Taipei Tatsuen, which has been awarded the Michelin Plate Recommendation for Taipei for two consecutive years in 2018 and 2019.<\/p>\n

The hotel has 688 rooms, all of which are spacious and comfortable. Each room is spacious and comfortable. The furnishings in the rooms are sophisticated and stylish, yet elegant. TV, desk, free wifi, mini fridge, telephone, iron, slippers, and plenty of electrical sockets are available. There is also a safe and a small pantry in the centre of the elegant wooden wardrobe.<\/p>\n

The wide beds are soft and firm, and the pillows are very comfortable. There is also a small coffee table and two comfortable chairs near the window.<\/p>\n

The bathroom is light and bright, and is decorated with an elegant glass mural of chrysanthemums. It is fully equipped with a windscreen and toiletries, and the best part is that you can take a bath as well as a soak. There is a wet\/dry toilet and a Toto toilet. The overall cleanliness and hygiene is very satisfactory.<\/p>\n

Whenever I choose a hotel, apart from comfort, convenience is also a very important factor as I travel around. The hotel is conveniently located in the Zhongzheng District, which is a busy traffic area. The nearest MRT station is the 2-minute walk from the Saints Temple MRT station, Taipei Station is about 10 minutes away, and it takes only half an hour to travel to and from Taoyuan Airport.<\/p>\n

Life Functions<\/span><\/h3>\n

As it is located in the city centre, there is no shortage of restaurants, shops and shopping centres. There are also the Ningxia Night Market and Huaxi Street Night Market nearby, so if you have nothing to do in the evening and don't want to take the car, walking for about half an hour to go shopping is also a good entertainment.<\/p>\n
